Canine Alert Search Team is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) charitable organization formed in 2005. Our mission is to provide, at no cost, highly trained search and rescue canine (K9) teams for New Hampshire's Fire and Police agencies within Hillsborough and Cheshire Counties. Our primary area of expertise is in using our teams in a wilderness environment to locate lost and missing people. Team members are required to have MLPI, ICS/NIMS, SOLO Wilderness First Aid, CPR, and FUNSAR.

In addition to the fieldwork, we have a second high priority aspect to our team. We embrace the belief that we have an educational responsibility to the communities that we serve. Every year we and our dogs go to schools, scout troops, dog shows, fairs, church groups and the like to help educate the public about all aspects of canine (K9) Search and Rescue. Our audiences number from just a few to several hundred people.
